Magnets are very strong.
These are not truly 1/4x1/16. It does say in the description that they are 6mmx1.5mm, which is smaller in both dimensions. Guess I should have converted the actual size before I ordered, and although they'll still work for my application, it'll be more fiddly since my application is precise.
Great magnets. They do what you need them to do and are quite strong comparably.
I have a hidden compartment in a piece of woodworking. Wanted the closure to be magnetic, but strong enough to not accidentally open, as the compartment is supposed to be hidden. Used pairs of magnets on 4 locations around the compartment. Used super-strong epoxy to hold them in place. After epoxy dried, tested the assembly. It all works exactly as desired. Not too hard to open, but not easily opened either. Very happy!
I used these to magnetize terrain for miniature Skirmish games and they worked fine. They were super strong and held large sections together easily.
